Dutch holiday fair ‘Vakantiebeurs’ cancelled

The Vakantiebeurs, which was to take place from 12 to 16 January 2022  in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, is cancelled due to the corona pandemic. Many exhibitors from all over the world come to the Vakantiebeurs and for many of them it is too uncertain whether and how they can come, according to a statement.

“The Vakantiebeurs is a public event with a special, informal atmosphere and many joint activities. It really should be a hassle-free event. And it doesn’t look like it could be that with the rising infections. That, combined with the difficult position of our international exhibitors, means that we had to make this decision,” said CEO Albert Arp of the Jaarbeurs.

Thecla Amoureus of the Vakantiebeurs says that there was a lot of enthusiasm from exhibitors to participate. “But we understand the uncertainty for many international guests. We are now going to focus our energy on a great edition in January 2023.”
