The French Ardennes is a region within the province of Champagne & Ardenne in the North-East of France. At no more than 3,5 hrs driving from the heart of the Netherlands you can enjoy the historic city of Charleville-Mézières or the natural environmet of the Argonne forrest.

The landscape is dominated by hills if not mountain-like with Croix-Scaille at 503 metres the highest point. Rivers such as the Meuse, Semoy and Aisne meander through the region and Sedan is with 18.500 inhabitants the largest villages in the region.
